Its scale-like foliage emerges yellow, darkens to green in summer, then turns an attractive orange-gold. This tree is an effective privacy screen even in winter and is a great addition to urban gardens.
The fall and winter colour on this tree is an amber-orange giving the Amber Gold Arborvitae its name.
