Diablo Ninebark vs Aldara Hazelnut

Diablo Ninebark is a small, low maintenance, multi-stemmed shrub, that is used to add texture or color to any yard. This plant grows dark purple leaves in the spring and grows slightly faster than Common Ninebark. It features flaky red to brown bark, clusters of white flowers, and long, maple-like leaves. Diablo Ninebark can make a dense and colorful hedge, or it can be an attractive ornamental by itself.

Aldara Hazelnut is a northern hybrid selection noted for its superior nut quality, disease resistance, and cold hardiness.

It is great for attracting wildlife with the added bonus of edible nuts that can be eaten fresh or used in baking. Pair with another Aldara or Andrew Hazelnut for cross pollination to occur.

Aldara and Andrew Hazelnut are currently the hardiest and most reliable nut varieties available for the Canadian prairies.
