Thunderchild Flowering Crab is a hybrid crab apple known for its attractive and fragrant dark pink blossoms and deep purple mature leaves.
The Pawpaw fruits are edible and delicious with a banana-mango flavour, and can be eaten fresh or enjoyed in ice cream or baking. Wildlife are also known to enjoy the fruit. It is a small understory tree or large shrub found in wooded slopes, ravines and along streams. Often spreads by root suckering to form thickets.
