Aronia Berry vs Golden Lights Rhododendron (Azalea)Aronia melanocarpa Rhododendron x Golden Lights
Aronia Berry is native to Eastern Canada and the Eastern United States. This branching shrub forms well rooted clumps that can spread. Flowers are usually white (or pink) and they produce black fruit that some people find too astringent, hence they are also known as Black Chokeberry. People who like the taste and not the astringent tannins often blend the berries or juice in with other things.
Golden Lights Rhododendron is an exceptionally cold hardy, deciduous azalea. Part of the Northern Lights Series, this shrub was cultivated specifically to withstand harsh winters, making it ideal for our prairie climate. ARONIA BERRY QUICK FACTSGOLDEN LIGHTS RHODODENDRON (AZALEA) QUICK FACTS
