Douglas Fir is a tall, attractive coniferous tree with a pyramidal shaped crown. It can become a very large and majestic tree and, hence, is one of the best known timber producing trees in the world market. Douglas Fir has very distinctive drooping cones with prominent three pronged bracts extending beyond each cone scale.
