Strawberry Sensation Haskap (Honeyberry)
Lonicera caerulea Strawberry Sensation
Strawberry Sensation Haskap is a new cultivar from Berries Unlimited that is getting lots of attention. These haskaps have a unique flavor that range from sweet to tart with an alpine strawberry after taste. This highly productive shrub produces haskaps late season and are ideal for freezing or fresh eating.
For optimal fruit production, cross-pollination is required. Haskaps need to be planted with a compatible variety. Compatibility is influenced by both bloom time and genetics.
Strawberry Sensation Haskap is a late-pollinating variety and pairs well with Boreal Blizzard.
