Boreal Blizzard Haskap has the largest and heaviest berries of any haskap cultivar we offer. Both the plant itself and its berries are robust, making mechanical harvesting more effective. The larger berries make them ideal for sale without processing, as larger berries usually sell for more.
Boreal Blizzard blooms later than other haskaps, prolonging the stay of bees in orchards. This bush is part of the "Boreal" series from the University of Saskatchewan. It pairs well with other Boreals, particularly the Boreal Beast pollinator variety.
The Boreal Blizzard is one of the first larger berried varieties set to completely change the Haskap industry. This variety is an excellent choice for U-picks and commercial harvester type orchards.
