Cupid Cherry vs DArtagnan Sour CherryPrunus x kerrasis Cupid Prunus cerasus dArtagnan SOLD OUT SOLD OUT Cupid Cherry is a hardy deciduous hybrid shrub variety of Sour Cherry released in the Romance Series of dwarf sour cherries from the University of Saskatchewan in 2004. Cupid Cherry produces the largest fruit of all the sour cherries which is dark/red fruit and perfect for fresh eating but it tends to be a bit later than other varieties.
The D'Artagnan Cherry is a cold-hardy sour cherry that produces small, sweet dark-red berries that are ready for harvest in early August. It is typically high-yielding and the berries are good for fresh eating, or in preserves and desserts. It is comparable to the Romance series cherries, but has a typically shorter form.
