How to fertilize a new treeshow all care and maintenance questions We do not recommend the use of chemical fertilizers on any trees or shrubs purchased from TreeTime.ca. Unless you're experienced with using these fertilizers with trees and shrubs it can be very easy to use them incorrectly, especially by over-application, which can kill your newly planted trees. We do encourage you to use bonemeal as a soil ammendment if you want to promote faster root development in your trees. You can buy bonemeal at places like Home Depot and Canadian Tire.
