Colorado Spruce, also known as blue spruce, is our best selling tree! People are attracted to the distinctive blue-green color of this hardy evergreen. But Colorado spruce really stands out because it is tough, long lived, and adapted to a wide range of growing conditions. Colorado Spruce trees are ideally suited for use in shelterbelts, privacy screens, or as accent trees.
Please note: our Colorado spruce are grown from seed and the needles vary in color from green to blue.
These one-year-old Colorado Spruce seedling are greenhouse grown in larger 412A containers. This gives them more root space and a better start and survival rate than seedlings grown in smaller plugs or no plugs at all.
Consistently a top seller, we choose to use a slightly larger plug size because it noticeably improves our customer survival rate.
These two-year-old seedlings have spent their first year in a greenhouse and the second outdoors in our bareroot fields. The fine mop of roots make these easy to plant and great choice for any large scale project where competition may be an issue. Cold hardy seed source.
