This new University of Saskatchewan release is a great tasting berry bush. The bushes fruit in late June and the berry taste has been compared to raspberry and blueberry. The fruit can be used for eating fresh, baking, jams and jellies, freezing. The fruit is high in vitamins, fibre, and anti-oxidants.
Aurora is a pollinator variety that causes other varieties to have a higher yield when planted together. Borealis and Aurora have similar taste but differ in the size and shape of the fruit. Aurora is a great companion variety for the Borealis.
Aurora is the largest and best-tasting of the Haskap pollinators released by the UofS Fruit Program.
Our customers often tell us they want to be able to have fruiting plants faster. We find that a second year of growth in the greenhouse in a larger plug shortens the time to fruit production while increasing the size and attractiveness of the plant at the same time. The bigger plug size also makes them much easier to plant.
Price includes University of Saskatchewan Royalty.
